Obama is up by 49%-47% in NC today according to Rasmussen!!!  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

We have heard that Rasmussen is doing what it can to pump up Repub numbers or downplay Dem numbers, & they still show Obama ahead in NC!! This is absolutely stunning for us!! NC starts One Stop Early Voting on Oct. 16 going through until Nov. 1. At that time people will be able to register & vote at the same time.

My son learned last night that the team he is working with is #4 in the nation for new voter registration!!

We will not be slowing down until Nov. 5!!

 Cool Cool Cool Cool

And depending on which poll you look at Virginia's flipped for the Dems.

It's hard to tell from the street level but I seem to see more Obama bumper stickers still.

Some doofus made a sign that reads "Sarah - One of Us" and put in next to the road I take to work and I am SO freaking tempted to pull it down but the traffic's so bad at that intersection I risk being creamed.  What's funny is the corner's littered with Repug signs and someone put up a sign for a local arts show in front of one of the McCain/Palin signs.

Someone else came along and put a bunch of Obama/Biden signs in front of the other republican signs.  Ha.   Cheesy

Thanks Destiny! I am pretty proud of his participation. And it is very gratifying that we can see he is having a positive impact, along with many, many other dedicated workers. The latest PPP poll from yesterday shows Obama 50% & McCain 44% in NC. This is ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDING for our state!!! New voter registration is favoring the Dems 6:1!! He comes home everyday with new stories. My favorite has been the one about the 3 little old white ladies. He was working in a parking lot & he was wearing an Obama shirt. As these ladies left the business one of them approached him & asked him a vague election question. One of her friends told her not to take information from him because he was working for the other side. He told the lady he didn't know the answer to her question, but he wrote down the phone number of the election board for her. As her friends walked away he told her even if she is a Republican he still thought she should vote for Obama. He said she lowered her voice & leaned over to tell him, "That's what I'm going to do, I just don't want them to know." What a hoot!! Proper little old Southern white ladies covertly supporting Obama!! That's the South for you!!

Actually, he has been offered a job to travel to Ohio to work in that state after he finishes voter registration here. He is not going to take it though. It would mean he would have to drop out of school, & that just wouldn't be a wise move. In addition, he decided there was still much work to do here in NC. He said he would feel really awful if he traveled to Ohio, & then Obama lost his own state of NC. It's looking good for NC right now, but it would be foolhearty to let up before Nov. 5!!
