http://www.autismvoice.com/blog/offset=10I know I have addressed this issue before, and after being at a teamster fundraiser for autism last week, where I spent some time with the teamster father of a child with autism who started the event, this is what we parents go through. Education is the key, rather than looking at parents of unruly children as bad parents, understand, the child acting up may be autistic and we suffer (as do their siblings) through the embarrassment because people just don't understand and assume we must be bad parents.

My church is the most wonderful of communities, even when bubby interrupts the pastors sermons, everyone is very cool with it! They actually get a real kick out of him!
