They are having a huge event in Texas (yes we are in Texas now) that is called "the strand".  It's huge and all proceeds go to food pantries.

I'm still excited by what Hannifords did as far as putting boxes together for $5.00 or $10.00 that you could put in your cart and went directly to the pantries with a note attached.  They delivered all the boxes and fed a family of 2 or 4 for a day.

I think now it does not matter how we handle this program as SO many are being laid off and have Children to feed.

I will go to your new site and I hope you can donate there also. 

PS.  Did you hear of the young boy with Cancer whose wish was to feed the poor?  Everyone donated.  It was on the news and I just burst into tears that such a young boy could have a big heart!

Let's donate and insist our stores everywhere set up something or go straight to the food pantries.  People are scared their Children are not eating due to layoffs.  Time has come to get off our collective fannies and give canned and other foods to those in need.

Thank you Destiny for once again bringing up the import of this project.
